Let me say, I don't have a type. If I like you, I like you, why limit my options and choose to be picky?
I don't really know when or why I decided that I liked both genders, it just happened. (Is that normal my admirer??) My parents, nor my friends, seemed to mind or really care for that matter. They just wanted me to be happy and not in a relationship with a shitty person. I seem to have a knack for attracting and dating mentally ill boys and girls. Guess it's just one of my many talents. My first relationship-ish was in intermediate, middle school for the rest of the world, I think I was around 12. What I was doing to warrant this I have no idea, nor how my parents really allowed me to starting dating that young. Although I don't really know if you could call it dating since all we did was hold hands and hug. Whatever, it was at least my introduction to romantic relationships besides the imaginary ones I had with the characters in my kids books. Something was wrong with me as a child.
My first proper relationship however was with a girl in my second year of high school. Honestly she was not a great introduction to dating woman but oh well, we were both new to liking girls so I can't hold that against her. I have no idea where she is now but I hope she is doing well, we didn't end on perfect terms since it turned out she had started liking this older boy towards the end of our relationship. Now I don't care in the slightest but back then I was dead and crying into my pillow, I was such a softie for years, lord help my younger self. It was after that relationship ended that I dated my first long term boyfriend, which in many ways was a mistake but also a blessing cause I now know what things to look out for in the dating world.
Being bisexual isn't something that I really talk about a lot, mainly because it doesn't come up as a topic often. I also, admittedly, don't look like I kiss girls at first glance, I mean maybe I do, but clearly not obviously enough to be asked about it. It's also not a topic that I have ever really thought or talked deeply about. Mostly due to the fact that I don't think there much to talk about. I mean I just like to kiss and date people who are attractive to me, I don't really give a fuck if your a girl or a boy. Just treat me nice and well, that's all I ask, well not all but you get the idea. Fortunately, I had support my whole life and never felt ashamed of who I was. The only shame I got for being bi, was the times where I wasn't dating someone. I remember that my dad probably had the best reaction to me telling him that his daughter kisses everyone.
"So you like boys and girls..."
"Yeah"
"So how come you have twice as many options as the average person and still don't have anyone?"
"... Dad, seriously"
Actually, now that I think about it I did get some negativity from people when I was dating my last boyfriend. They questioned my loyalty towards him, thinking that because I liked both girls and boy that made me more likely to cheat on him. To this day I don't know why they thought that, a straight person is just as capable of cheating as a bisexual person. I also think that cheating should matter nonetheless regardless of gender or sexual preference, but that another topic. People also thought that when I was dating a girl that I was all of a sudden a lesbian, and when I was dating a boy I was now straight. I don't think that just because I'm dating a girl or a boy that it erases the fact I like both genders.
These days especially, I feel that people are so obsessed with making sure that their labels are known, honestly, telling new people I meet that I'm bisexual is the last thing on my mind. It just doesn't seem like a big deal, I know I've said it already, but it really isn't to me. Too many people are way too hot for me to ignore them, so why not just kiss them all.
Am I right?

yep lol its normal, don't worry ! as for living with "you're with a guy so you're not bi" or "you're with a girl, so you're just gay" well... you'll probably get that a LOT lol. We all do, we all do. Same as riding our bycicle lol... sometimes you may just want to be with women and sometimes just men, like a cycle. And sometimes its just gonna be you with yourself and it also can be a great love story and getting the best lover on earth lol. :D
